Mountain Hockey Top Kings in 7-6 OT Thriller

Jesse Farabee scored his 3rd of the night at 2:31 in overtime to give Mountain Hockey the 7-6 win in what was a thrilling game against The South Shore Kings at the Foxboro Sports Center last night.

The teams were tied most of the 1st period, until Tom Nicholson (Bird, Grillone) scored at 17:45 to give Mountain Hockey the go ahead goal. The second period was a wild one with 6 goals scored including MH goals from Jared Pignone and Farabee.

At the start of the third period, Mountain Hockey was down 5-4 until a second goal from Jesse Farabee one minute in tied up the game. The boys spent much of the third on the PK, including killing off an extended SSK 5 on 3. The teams exchanged goals, including one from Danny Galvez, resulting in a 6-6 tie at the conclusion of regulation.

Just over two minutes into the extra frame, Farabee jumped on the ice and picked up a clear from Jared Pignone in the neutral zone, burying his chance to end the game in thrilling fashion!

Goaltenders Jared Levine and Brandon Gloska shared time in the net, making 35 Saves on 41 SOG.

The team meet again today at 1:10PM.
